I'm Sgt. David Camargo from Mission, TX. I was in Iraq with 1-5 Cav from Ft. Hood TX for my second deployment in Iraq. On May 3, 2007 I was on a patrol in Amariyah, Iraq when an IED detonated and hit my HUMVEE. The blast blew off my right leg and two fingers on my left hand. I also had fractures on my right hand. I was flown to Germany and then to Brooke Army Medical Center on San Antonio on May 11, 2007. I'm currently under going therapy at the Center For The Intrepid. I received my prosthetic leg about 3 weeks ago. I'm living here in Ft. Sam Houston now with my wife, Michelle and my two kids David and Kayla.
